Connected experiences across your accounts in an Accounts Center
Some features aren't available in all countries at this time. WhatsApp and Threads in Accounts Center are not available everywhere. Not all connected experiences are available for WhatsApp and Threads at this time.
After your accounts are added to the same Accounts Center, you can manage different connected experiences, like:
- Sharing posts, stories or reels across your Instagram and Facebook, sharing posts, stories or reels from Instagram and Facebook to Threads and/or sharing your WhatsApp Status to your Facebook or Instagram Stories.
- To share from your Horizon profile, go to Horizon Worlds.
- You can comment on Instagram reels recommended to you on Facebook with an Instagram account you’ve added to the same Accounts Center. You can change the Instagram account used for commenting by selecting a different Instagram account to share to.
- You can create a Status on WhatsApp and automatically share it to your Facebook or Instagram Stories. Status updates you choose to share to Facebook and/or Instagram will use the existing story privacy settings you’ve chosen on Facebook or Instagram. Note: You can’t share your Facebook or Instagram Stories to your WhatsApp Status. WhatsApp in Accounts Center isn’t available for everyone yet.
- Syncing your profile picture across Facebook, Instagram and/or Meta Horizon and Threads profiles.
- People may also see suggestions (like to add you as a friend or to follow you) associated with this profile picture across Facebook, Instagram and Meta Horizon.
- If you sync your profile picture across your Facebook, Instagram or Meta Horizon profiles, changes you make to your profile picture will appear across all of these profiles.
- If you remove an account from an Accounts Center, your profile picture for profiles in that account will no longer sync.
- Note: You can’t sync profile information from a Facebook, Instagram or Meta Horizon profile to another profile on the same product (for example, you can’t sync two Instagram profiles, or two Facebook profiles).
- Manage avatars. You can view all your avatars in one place, and easily assign the same avatar across multiple profiles. When you change your avatar for one of your profiles, it will update on all the profiles using that avatar.
- Syncing your shopping activity across accounts. When your shopping activity is synced across Facebook and Instagram, you’ll have access to features like:
- Your wishlist will be visible to you on Facebook and Instagram. You’ll be able to add and see items in your wishlist from all connected accounts.
- Your recently viewed items will be visible to you across your accounts.
- Note: Synced shopping activity isn’t available to everyone who has access to Accounts Center. Learn more about Facebook shops and shops on Instagram.
- Your wishlist will be visible to you on Facebook and Instagram. You’ll be able to add and see items in your wishlist from all connected accounts.
- Connecting Facebook Dating and Instagram. You’ll be able to:
- Share Instagram posts by adding them to your Dating profile.
- Add Instagram followers as secret crushes.
- Following people on Meta Horizon. You’ll be able to:
- Automatically send follow requests to your Facebook friends or people you follow on Instagram who also have Meta Horizon profiles and have chosen to show their Facebook and/or Instagram profiles with their Meta Horizon profile.
- Note: You can only enable this connected experience if you have a Meta account.
- Showing your other profiles in Meta Horizon. You’ll be able to:
- Choose which names or usernames are shown in each of your profiles. For example, you can update your Instagram profile to show your Facebook name or Meta Horizon username.
- Update your Meta Horizon profile to show your Facebook name or Instagram username, and who can see this information (for example, anyone or only your followers on Facebook and/or Instagram who also use Meta Horizon).
- Note:
- You can only enable this connected experience if you have a Meta account.
- People will be able to see and search for you by your Facebook, Instagram, or Horizon profile information.
- These profiles may be visible together when you’re suggested to others.
- You can always see your Facebook name and Instagram profiles in your own Horizon profile. This setting controls how others can see your Facebook name and Instagram profiles.
- View media captured in Meta Horizon Worlds in your Instagram photo galleries through Meta Cloud Albums. You’ll be able to:
- Choose which of your accounts in an Accounts Center can access media captured from Meta Horizon Worlds from your Meta Horizon profile.
Starting early 2026, the connected experience, Logging in with accounts, will no longer be available, and all accounts will be able to log into each other by default. This means you’ll be able to use any account to log into other accounts in the same Accounts Center.
Due to this update, some Facebook and Instagram accounts will be moved into different Accounts Centers unless Logging in with accounts is enabled for all accounts in the same Accounts Center.
For some Meta accounts, we’ll automatically allow all accounts to log into each other.
To keep your accounts in the same Accounts Center:
- Go to Accounts Center
- Navigate to Connected experiences > Logging in with accounts
- Select Allow all accounts to log into each other
If you want to disable login access for an account, you can move that account out of your Accounts Center.
If you want to enable login access for an account, you can add that account to your Accounts Center.
Note: Accounts can only access connected experiences, including Logging in with accounts, if they’re in the same Accounts Center.
