How to manage which accounts are in your Accounts Center
If you aren’t already logged into the account you want to add on your mobile device, we'll use the email address or phone number from the account you are logged into to prefill that information for the account you want to add.
You’ll need at least 2 accounts (this can be a combination of Facebook, Instagram, Meta, WhatsApp and/or Threads accounts, although it cannot be a combination of just a Meta and a WhatsApp account, or just a Meta and a Threads account) to set up your Accounts Center and to enable connected experiences.
Add account
To add accounts to an Accounts Center on your phone, tablet or computer:
- Navigate to Accounts Center.
- Tap or click Accounts or Manage accounts.
- If you don’t have any accounts added to Accounts Center, tap or click Add accounts and follow the on-screen instructions.
Move an account out of an Accounts Center
To move accounts out of an Accounts Center on your phone, tablet or computer:
- Navigate to Accounts Center.
- Tap or click Accounts or Manage accounts.
- Tap or click Remove next to the account you want to remove.
When you remove an account from an Accounts Center, any profiles associated with that account will also be removed.

Removing an Instagram AI account from an Accounts Center
AI accounts are accounts that require connection to an Instagram account in order to work. You’ll need to keep your AI account in the same Accounts Center as the Instagram account you used to create it. If you remove an AI account, we’ll ask you if you’d like to delete that AI account. And if you remove your Instagram account (that created an AI account), we’ll ask you if you want to delete your AI account.
If you want to move your Instagram account and your AI account into a different Accounts Center than your other accounts, without causing your AI account to be deleted, log into Facebook, WhatsApp or Meta and remove those account(s) from the Accounts Center, instead.
For example, if you have a Facebook account, an Instagram account (with an AI account) and a WhatsApp account in the same Accounts Center, and you'd like to keep your Instagram account (with an AI account) in it's own Accounts Center, you can remove your Facebook and WhatsApp accounts from that Accounts Center. This will leave your Instagram account (with its AI account) in its own Accounts Center. You can always add your Facebook and WhatsApp accounts to a different Accounts Center if you’d like them to be connected.
Account suggestions we might make
When you set up your Accounts Center, we may suggest an account for you to add. For example, if you set up your Accounts Center with your Instagram account on your mobile device, and you’re logged into your Facebook account on the same device, we may suggest that you add that Facebook account to your Accounts Center.
Note: You can only add one Facebook account to your Accounts Center. If you’d like to add a different Facebook account to your Accounts Center, you’ll need to remove your current Facebook account first. Then you can add a different Facebook account.
