Edit images or animate images with Meta AI and Vibes

The Meta AI and Vibes apps and websites are not yet available everywhere. If they are available for you, some features may not yet be available in your area.
Using the Meta AI and Vibes apps and websites you can edit an image with Meta AI. You can upload an image to edit or edit an image you generated. You can also animate your images into videos. Edits you make will be reflected in the Media gallery across Meta AI and Vibes apps and websites.
If you animate an image, you can post it to the feeds on Meta AI and Vibes.

To edit an uploaded image with Meta AI
- Open the Meta AI app.
- Tap
Upload in the bottom left, then select your image.
- Tap See all to see all photos on your device.
- Tap Camera
to take a photo.
- Tap Add.
- Type in how you’d like this image to be edited. For the best results, be detailed in your prompt.
- Tap
Send.
To edit a previously generated image on Meta AI
- Open the Meta AI app.
- Tap
Menu in the top left, then tap
Media.
- Tap Creations to see your images.
- Tap the image you’d like to edit.
- Select how you’d like to edit the image.
- Edit the prompt: To edit the image with a detailed prompt, tap
Edit and type in how you’d like to edit the image. Tap
Send.
- Change the style: To edit the image with a selection of preset styles, tap
Restyle, then tap the style you’d like to use.
- Add yourself or others: Tap Swap and choose a person to add into the image. Learn more about adding yourself or others to vibes.
- Make the image lip sync: Tap Lip sync and pick a song. Learn more about how to add lip sync to vibes.
- Edit the prompt: To edit the image with a detailed prompt, tap
Meta AI will generate images based on your prompts or selected style.
You can also animate images you upload or that you’ve generated before with Meta AI.
To animate an uploaded image with Meta AI
- Open the Meta AI app.
- Tap
Upload in the bottom left, then select your image.
- Tap See all to see all photos on your device.
- Tap Camera
to take a photo.
- Type in how you’d like the image to be animated, starting with “Animate”. For the best results, be detailed in your prompt.
- Tap
Send.
To animate a previously generated image on Meta AI
- Open the Meta AI app.
- Tap
Menu in the top left, then tap
Media.
- Tap Creations to see your images.
- Tap the image you’d like to animate, then tap
Animate.
- Type in how you’d like to animate your image. For the best results, be detailed in your prompt.
Meta AI will generate a video based on your prompt. It may take some time for your video to be available.

- An AI’s response may be inaccurate or inappropriate and should not be used to make important decisions.

- Other information from your profile such as your age and gender, and interests based on your activity across our products, such as the types of content, including ads, you view or interact with and how you interact with it, will be used to help personalize your interactions with AI. - Depending on your prompt, the content generated may go against our Community Standards or Terms of Service of Meta's platforms. Sharing AI-generated content on our platforms that go against these standards will be treated the same as sharing other content that go against our standards. If you share generated content that goes against our standards, your content may be removed and your account may be restricted or disabled. - Depending on your region, your interactions with AI products can be used to personalize content and ads.
- You can generate images of certain public figures. We’ll continue to label AI-generated images made with our own products.
